Sadie Jones

Sadie Jones will read from her extraordinary debut novel, The Outcast, which will be Radio 4’s Book at Bedtime (10 parts), to coincide with the publication date of 7 February.

Set in the late 50s, The Outcast is a devastating portrait of small-town hypocrisy from a new novelist who has already attracted heartfelt praise from fellow novelists.

Lionel Shriver said this was ‘an assured voice, a riveting story, and an odd, wrenchingly sympathetic protagonist. I would never have imaged this was a first novel.’

Sadie Jones will also be happy to take questions from the audience.
