  • Short Story Festival 2008

Apis Books and Tales of the DeCongested proudly present a one-day festival of readings, workshops and discussions to celebrate the power and charm of the short story.

Come and show your support for a literary form that — despite all reports to the contrary — is very much alive and kicking in 21st-century Britain.

This all-day Short Story Festival (10am-9pm) brings together writers, editors, publishers and readers, all of whom share a passion for the short form. Entry is free, allowing short-lit-lovers to pick and choose, sampling as much or as little as they fancy from an extensive programme.

Among writers reading their work in Foyles’ second-floor Gallery Space will be: Toby Litt, Tom McCarthy, Matt Thorne, Geoff Nicholson, Mick Scully, Heidi James, Shaun Levin and Paul Blaney.

The Festival will culminate in a special Tales of the DeCongested live reading event.
